Kynd Hair – Benefits & Application

How is Kynd Hair different from regular synthetic hair?

Kynd Hair is the first plastic-free, plant-based braiding hair in Europe. Unlike regular synthetic hair it’s free from toxic chemicals, it's biodegradable, it looks and feels almost like human hair and you can reuse it up to two times.

What is Kynd Hair made of?

Kynd Hair is plant-based and vegan. We carefully select all our ingredients to be non-irritating and hypoallergenic, making them suitable for people with sensitive skin, allergies and scalp conditions. Kynd Hair is free from plastic or animal-derived products.

Which hairstyles can I use Kynd Hair for?

Kynd Hair is suitable for all braided and twisted hairstyles. However, just like regular synthetic hair, it’s not ideal to be worn openly for long periods of time in wigs, weaves or crochet applications, as it will likely tangle.

Can I use Kynd Hair instead of human hair?

Kynd Hair feels and looks almost like human hair. However it’s not made to be worn openly for longer periods of time in wigs, weaves or crochet applications. We recommend sticking to braids or twists. We're working on more alternatives that can be used in other applications as well – subscribe to our newsletter to stay tuned!

How many packs of Kynd Hair do I need?

We recommend using 4 to 6 packs of Kynd Hair for a full head of braids, depending on the thickness of each braid. If you intend to reuse Kynd Hair, we advise getting an additional pack as the hair may lose thickness with each takedown and reinstallation, ensuring you have enough for future use.

Can I reuse Kynd Hair?

Yes, Kynd Hair is reusable. After uninstalling the hair, simply arrange it into a few thick braids and close the ends with a hair tie. Then, toss it in the laundry machine with the rest of your laundry, adding a mild detergent and eco-friendly fabric softener. After air drying the hair, you're all set to enjoy reinstalling them.

Can I wash Kynd Hair?

Yes, Kynd Hair is washable. However, unlike synthetic hair, it absorbs moisture, so it will become heavier when wet. We recommend focusing on washing your scalp to avoid long drying times. To speed up the drying process, you can use a blow dryer.

How do I seal the ends of Kynd Hair?

DO NOT USE A LIGHTER OR FIRE TO SEAL THE ENDS OF KYND HAIR! There's no need to knot the hair or seal the ends with hot water, as it stays in place naturally.

How long can I wear Kynd Hair?

You can wear Kynd Hair for as long as you wear regular synthetic braids. We recommend not to wear the hair longer than 8 weeks.
